Complete Salah(Namaz) Guide For Women. Step By Step

1

Niyyat

Before beginning Salaah, Perform wadhu or Ghusl (Which ever is required). Your clothes and place of Salaah should also be clean. Make sure your satr is covered. Women satr in Salaah is to covered everything except hands, face and feets. A person must face the Qiblah (direction of prayer- Makkah). Make intention quietly or in the mind for which ever Salaah you wish to perform. During Salaah keep the eyes fixed on the spot where the head will be on Sajdah (Prostration) unless otherwise mentioned. Ensure the feet point towards the direction of Qiblah. Women keep their feet together.

Taqbeer

Whilist Raising both hands to the hieght of the shoulders. Ensure the fingers are toghether and the palms face together Qibla. Remember to kep the eyes focused on the place of Sajdah (Prostration). AND SAY.
اللهُ اَكْبَرْ
Allah-O-Akbar
Allah Is the greatest

Recitation

Women should place their hands over the chest with right hand palm over the left hand, keeping the fingers and thumb together. But make sure you do not make a ring round wrist like men.
سُبْحٰانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَتَعَالٰى جَدُّكَ، وَلاَ اِلٰهَ غَيْرُكَ
Subhaanaka Allaahumma Wa Bihamdika, Wa Tabaarakasmuka, Wa Ta’aalaa Jadduka, Wa Laa ‘Ilaaha Ghayruka.
Allah Golry be to you O Allah! And Praise be to you: Blessed is your name and exalted is your majesty, and there none worthy besides you.
Whilist remaining standing recite Ta’awwuz and Tasmiyah Silently.
اَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰہِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِیْمِ
Auzubillahi Minashaitan Nirajeem
I seek refuge in Allah from the rejected satan.
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمّٰنِ الرَّحِيْم
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, most merciful

Recitation

Recite Sura-tul-Fatiha now.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ○ اَلرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ○ مٰلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ○ اِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِيْنُ○اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيْمَ○ صِرَاطَ الَّذِيْنَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوْبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّآلِّيْنَ○آٰمِیْنَ
Alhamdu Lillaahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen Ar-Rahmaanir-Raheem Maaliki Yawmid-Deen Iyyaaka Na’budu Wa Lyyaaka Nasta’een Ihdinas-Siraatal-Mustaqeem Siraatal-Lazeena An’amta ‘Alaihim Ghayril-Maghdoobi ‘Alaihim Wa Lad-Daaalleen
Praise to be Allah, Lord of the worlds. the beneficent, the merciful. Master of the day of gudgement. Thee alone we worship and to thee alone we turn for help. Guide us to the straight path. The path of those whome you favoured, None of those who earned your anger, nor of those who went astray.

Recitation

Now Recite any Surah, Or a minimum three short Aayats or one long Aayah. Note: A Surah is read following Surah Fatiha in all units of any sunnah and nafil salah.It is only required in the first two units of any fard Salah.
قُلْ هُوَ اَللّٰهُ اَحَدٌ○اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُ○ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ○ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهٗ ڪُفُوًا اَحَدٌ

Qul Huw-Allahu Ahad
Allah-Us-Samad
Lam Yalid Wl Lam Yulad
Wa Lam Yakul Lahu Kufuwan Ahad

Say, “He is Allah , [who is] One, Allah , the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent.”

Ruku

In Ruku Women should bend over sufficiently so that the fingers can touch the knees with the fingers kept together. The knees should be bent and the back should not be straight like a man. Also ensuring the elbows touch the sides of the body. Women should focus thier eyes towards the toes. And Say
Say:
اللهُ اَكْبَرْ
Allah-O-Akbar
Allah Is the greatest
In Ruku, Recite three times:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّیَ الْعَظِيْمِ
Subhana Rabbi’al Azeem
How perfect is my lord, The supreme!

Qayaam

Qaumah is to stand up from Ruku and return to the Qiyaam position keeping your arms straight by your side.
While standing up from Ruku recite TASMEE.
سَمِعَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَ ہُ
Sami’Allahu Liman Hamidah
Allah hears the one who praises him.
And when stood up recite TAHMEED.
رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ
Rabbana Walakal Hamd
Our Lord, To you be the praise

Sajjdah

Sujood (Prostration): Then go into Prostration in order of; starting by lowering the knees to the ground. Women may bend their back going into Sajjdah, then the palms of both hands, then nose and finally forehead. focus the eyes towards the nose. Women must ensure that they keep all limbs close together and close to the ground, including the arms, elbows, bottom and feet. Both feet should point out to the right and point the toes towards the Qiblah.
Recite three times in SAJJDAH.
اللهُ اَكْبَرْ
Allah-O-Akbar
Allah Is the greatest
In Ruku, Recite three times:
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّیَ الّاَ عْلَى
Subhana Rabbiyal A’la
Glory to my Lord, The Highest.

Tashahhud

Get up from the floor reciting the takbeer in order of forehead first, nose, and then hands. Sit upright (Jalsa) and place the palms on the lower thigh but not on the knees. women shouldsit resting on the floor with feet pointing out to the right. In Qad’dah set your eyes between the front of your hands in your lap. Rest for a moment then say
اللهُ اَكْبَرْ
Allah-O-Akbar
Allah Is the greatest
And prostrate again for a second time reciting “Tasbeeh”.
اللهُ اَكْبَرْ
Allah-O-Akbar
Allah Is the greatest

Quood

Get up from second sajjdah and stand up back to the Qiyaam position. This completes one Rak’aah (unit) of prayer. The second Rak’aah is performed in the same way but do not recite Thaana and Ta’awwuz, start form Tasmiyah.

Tashahhud

Get up from the second Sajdah and stand up back to the Qayyam position. This complete’s on Rak’aah(unit) of prayer. The second Rak’aah is performed in the same way but do not recite Sana and ta’wwuz, start from Tasmiyah. At tashahhud in the second rak’aah after second prostration remain seated (Qad’ah), and recite quietly.
اَلتَّحِيَّاتُ لِلّٰهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلٰى عِبَادِ اللّٰهِ الصّٰالِحِيْنَ
Attahiyat Lillahi Wa Salawatu Wa’t-Tayyibat, As-Salamu ‘Alayka Ayyuha’n-Nabiyyu Wa Rahmat-Allahi Wa Barakatuhu. As-Salamu ‘Alayna Wa ‘Alaa ‘Ibad-Illah Is-Saliheen.
All compliments, all physical prayer , and all monetary worship are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and blessings. Peace be on us and on all righteous slaves of Allah.

Tashahhud

Whilist reciting at “Tashahhud” When word “ “Ash-Hadu Al-laailaha” are recited, use the right hand to form a circle with a middle finger and the thumb and raise the index finger high enough for it to face the Qiblah. Drop the finger back down again after reciting “Al-laailaha” (than Allah). If you are performing thre Rak’aahs (Maghrib) or four Rak’aahs (Zohr,Asar,Isha), then stand up after Tashahhud.
اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لَّا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهٗ وَرَسُوْلُهٗ
Ashhadu Alla Ilaha Illallah Wa Ashhadu Anna Muhammadan ‘Abduhu Wa Rasuluhu
I bear that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I also bear that Muhammad (peace be upon him ) is Allah’s slave and His Messenger.

Durood

After reciting “Tashahhud” , Now recite Durood, recite any of these or any other Sunnah.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰى اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلٰی اٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ
اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلٰى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلٰى اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلٰى اِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلٰى اٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَّجِيْدٌ
Allahumma Salli ‘Ala Muhammadin Wa ‘Ala Ali Muhammadin Kama Sallaita ‘Ala Ibrahima Wa ‘Ala Ali Ibrahima Wa Barik ‘Ala Muhammadin Wa ‘Ala Ali Muhammadin Kama Barakta ‘ Ala Ibrahima Wa ‘ Ala Ali Ibrahima Fil A’lamina Innaka Hamidun Majid.
Allahumma! Send blessings upon (Holy Prophet) Muhammad and upon the followers of (Holy Prophet) Muhammad as You sent blessings upon Ibraheem and upon the followers of Ibraheem; indeed, You are praiseworthy and glorious. Allahumma! Bless (Holy Prophet) Muhammad and the follower of (Holy Prophet) Muhammad as You blessed Ibraheem and the follower of Ibraheem; indeed, You are praise worthy and glorious.

Dua

After Reciting “Durood” , Now recite any of these or any other Sunnat Duaa’s.
رَبَّنَآ اٰتِنَا فِی الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَّفِی الْاٰخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana Atina Fid Dunya Hasanatan Wa Fil Akhirati Hasanatan Waqina Azabannar
Our Lord, grant us the good of this world and that of the Hereafter and save us from the torture of hell.

Salaam

Now turn your face to look at your right shoulder whilst saying and then left. After Salaah,it if of great blessing to make Du’aa (Asking for your needs) To lift up your Hands to make Du’aa is loved by Almighty Allah, and is also Sunnah.
اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ
Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah
